Hillviewfarm Trevelyan (Chester) has Classic Irish Draught breeding, he is linebred to Errigal through his sire and his dam, via Tobias Corbett and Slyguff Hero, and Copper King/King of Diamonds. He also has lines tracing back to Poulgorm and Skylark, both now quite rare lines. He has inherited the most kind, giving temperament you could ever wish for, along with superb straight flowing paces, a quality head, good bone, nicely short coupled with an uphill conformation and a lovely length of rein. Chester enjoys his ridden work and has proven to be an honest, calm and uncomplicated ride, happy to work in all weathers and through his stud season without question. His calm temperament means he can be left for weeks without being ridden and then continue his work as if he was ridden yesterday. Chester also enjoys weekly trips to the forest where again his manners are impeccable in company and on his own.
Again, this year we have had a superb stud season having a 100% fertility with chilled semen and this year all mares scanned in foal after their first insemination which if course is wonderful.
