Testimonials
Dear Janet
I would love to say how very helpful and friendly you have been throughout the
whole process and thanks for all the advice and reassurances given!
I am so glad I went through with putting my lovely mare Georgia in foal to
Trevelyan after my initial hesitation! My little fellow, Pearls Top Marks
(Marcus), is a total joy!! My mare is very laid back and I think the combination
of her and Chester have been a match made in heaven as my little star has been no
bother since the day he was born. He has been ever so friendly with all who have
been to see him - not batting an eye when there were about 6 people in his stable
at one time!! At 5 months old now he continues to have that laid back approach to
life and again didn't bother when he had his vaccinations and microchip done. All
who meet him think he is so gorgeous and has a lovely temperament. A recent
comment to me was "you've struck lucky there - he's a real good 'un.
Makes me feel very proud and I'm really looking forward to showing him next year.
Once again Janet, many thanks for all your advice before, during and after the
pregnancy, it was most appreciated! Marj Nolan
Brian and I started to look at RID stallions in September
2009 once our pure bred filly had graded with the IDHS(GB). Hillviewfarm Trevelyan
stood out right from the start both by breeding and his photograph and once we
came to see him, that initial impression was confirmed. He has a lovely nature and
a superb rapport with Janet. He showed himself to us with enthusiasm and good
manners and he is a true pocket rocket who fills your eye. All proceeded well in
spring 2010 and our filly held in foal to her first service. We eagerly await the
outcome. Brian and Mary Tearney
Aonghus is just such a smasher - we could not have dreamt of
a better baby. When Tinker went for her Hornby premium, the inspectors were most
impressed. So much so that along with my friend Pat, who has stallions from the
VDL in Holland all competing at top level (Goodtimes & Hattrick are 2 of hers),
have asked me to try & keep him entire!!! He floats, & Pat says he's been having
lessons from her warmbloods, but says he moves as well as her dressage bred foals.
He can also jump rather well! He has popped over a few small jumps, just for fun,
& rather scarily a few post & rail fences!!! His temperament is delightful, so
calm & gentle - kids on bikes, go-karts etc do not phase him.
He is still very black, but with just a few white hairs around his muzzle. The vet
put "brown" on his passport, but we all think he will turn grey eventually. Also
he will be 16.2hh we think, & such a pretty head. The idea was to sell him, but
he's just too good! I've told my husband that as a riding/competition horse he
could see me in to my retirement!
We are so thrilled with him, & visitors to Pat's stud have all been most surprised
that he's Irish Draught, & have all asked about his sire!

Dear Janet,
Just to congratulate you on producing such a quality Stallion. On looking for an
RID Stallion I sent off for details and photos - a long way for me to come and see
him. I saw he was First and Champion when shown as a foal and the photo confirmed
he was the one. AI was, available so I booked the covering and the mares into the
vets. The semen arrived on time and was of good quality and both mares took first
time.
The two colt foals are super, so laid back, pretty heads, straight moving and BIG
boys, remarked on at birth "This one should come with bridle and saddle". As I
don't keep colts they were both regretfully put up for sale at weaning, both sold
straight away. I look forward to hearing how they get on and wish their new owners
every success. Prince has changed colour and is now black with a Brown muzzle like
Boggy, Knight is staying Chestnut. Both are really good natured and bold, Prince
walked onto the horsebox first time, even at the show.
I am so pleased with them both, I have put two mares in foal to Chester again,
both took first time with good mobility semen, hoping for a filly this time.
Thank you Janet for doing such a sterling job, not forgetting Chester.
Regards Val Morris
